Restorative Dentistry
It deals with restoring tooth form and function lost either due to caries,trauma or fracture.
It includes anterior(front) tooth fillings and posterior(back) tooth fillings.
It deals with preventing the caries at an early stage while in enamel/dentine and stops it to progressing to pulp.
Thus,the restorative procedure is less expensive and extensive.
At our clinic,we mostly use below two materials for fillings
- Composite (tooth coloured material with different shades)
- Glass Ionomer cement(tooth coloured with caries prevention properties.
